Sustainable Building in Context (2014)

The article examines initially, the meaning of sustainability from climate change context to the construction sector context.

It continues with the table which indicates the agreements and target strategies that have already issued by a range of developed countries to tackle global climate change, greenhouse gas emission and other related global concerns in the next years.

From this point of view,  Turkey position compared to other nations is relatively discussed.

The following subjected topic in this article is sustainable construction and its principles. In order to support this topic, a brief collection of several authors thoughts are put forward in terms of their description of sustainable contruction, its definition and requirements.

At final stage of the article, compared to the sustainable project understanding, the bad and good projects that have already built, are discussed.

This study topic was shaped around some ideas of references under subjected titles.
